Wagner Boss Denies Coup Against Putin; Prigozhin says, 'Gave Master Class on Ukraine Invasion'

Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin released an 11-minute-long audio message for the first time since aborting the mutiny. Prigozhin said that the Moscow march was not against Russian President Vladimir Putin but to overthrow the military leadership of Russia. He also said that his fighters had intended to register a protest and started the march because of an injustice. Watch this video to know more.

Whatever his motives, Prigozhin went against Russia in middle of war. Either he is mad or he thought he could start a change, and he and his army realised they were on their own, and took the olive branch offered to save lives. Russia could have taken a different and more extreme path but that does not for sure mean quícker end of the war, it could have meant also more destructive and wider war.

The "coup" attempt would have been short lived even if it marched to Moscow. Wagner had no way to re-up on artillery and other ammo. 2 days worth at most.

It wasn't a coup ...it was a protest march to wake Putin up to the fact that he needs to get in there and destroy Ukraine, and get this war over with. He was also protesting the way the Defence Ministry board was treating his group

There are so many things that can be said both in favour and against Prigozhin. In brief, he has definitely spearheaded the fiercest battle of Bakmuth after WW2. But in the middle of a war, going against the defence establishment with a big team of soldiers can never be supported under any circumstances, whatever may be his excuse.
