Today on the show is someone that we are so excited about. We have been listening to his talks, and his information for so long. His name is Dr. Jordan Peterson. He is a professor of psychology, clinical psychologist and author of best selling books "12 Rules For Life - An Antidote To Chaos" and now he has "Beyond Order -12 More Rules For Life". So clearly we need a lot of rules for life, because life is really challenging. And that’s a lot of what we talked about. Just how hard it is, how complicated it is. Then we get into self-awareness. It is so important to become self-aware. Facing our strengths and weaknesses, honestly and without judgement. We all want be better people, but it’s a matter of how do we figure out where we need to get better. Dr Peterson is a fascinating human. if you’ve never heard of him, get ready, he’s a straight down the barrel kind of guy and we think you’re gonna like this one. Enjoy.

With his students and colleagues at Harvard and the University of Toronto, Dr. Peterson has published over a hundred scientific papers, transforming the modern understanding of personality, while his book Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief revolutionized the psychology of religion. His book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos was published in 2018 and has sold over 4 million copies internationally. The sequel, Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life, was released on March 2, 2021.

Finally, someone let him speak and express his ideas without having to struggle to convey his thoughts between interruptions.

We are witnessing (in real time) one of the greatest thinkers of the 21st Century, even on a slow or tiresome day. Love you Dr Peterson, you’ve improved my thinking and life beyond words.

I just wish that I'd could have listened to a person like Jordan Peterson growing up.

This man is the intellectual of the intellectuals. He is never afraid of questioning ideas and draws upon history, religion, philosophy, psychology, anthropology and science.

I can listen to JP all day long.

My aunt was born in the 1890's and lived to 100. When she was in her 90's I asked about the changes she has seen in her life. She went from horse and wagons delivering ice blocks, dirt roads etc... to the space shuttle. What she said sticks with me to this day and I am now 57 and it is this.

Things are moving in a too fast pace and it will get out of control. Technology took years for people to adapt to, now as the good doctor stated you learn something and it is useless in about two years. I seen the beginnings of this when I was a volunteer grief counselor. The older generations had a thought process, means of accepting, going through the process of human emotions. The younger ones seek a fix, a reboot if you will. The human experience and interaction coupled with the break up of the two parent family etc... Therefore embracing technology and false "friends" such as farce book to fill the void in my observation has produced Narcissist emotions.

Just wonderful interviews. Thank you Danica. Subscribed and liked indeed!

Peterson: "The Constitution is dead except in so far as it's embodied in living people who are paying attention."- Brilliant!

You can actually sense he is constantly thinking about and challenges his own conceptions, my favorite person to listen to.

What a man with such an infectious and charming presence, making all of us better and well educated individuals, the Professor we all deserve to interact with at some point of our life. My best wishes to Mr. Peterson.

I had never thought about the concept of “truth” explained in quite that way, but as a scientist I see the validity of that definition. A story is true if the lessons it teaches create the results it promises. This is such a powerful way of looking at it. I listen to young people talk about the “truth” of socialism all the time, but they focus on the claims, not the results. The results demonstrate that socialism does not deliver on its lofty claims. If our students were taught to pursue truth, rather than social justice, our world would be a much better place because we could focus on more effectively on improving the lot of humanity, rather than wasting resources and creating misery by chasing after false promises.

Danica, you've earned another subscriber to your channel for bringing in Jordan Peterson, one of the few contemporary WISE men of the World. Many will be grateful to you for this. Stay strong.

Nothing could come close to the authentic nature of this man. He's an inspiration, and if I was too look up to anyone it would be this man. When you want nothing but the best for everyone, it says so much.

I hope Cathy Newman watches this and takes notes about how to conduct a real interview

Excellent interview. Most people who speak with JBP try too hard to show him and/or the audience how smart/self-aware they are. You didn’t do that! And that makes you a rare breath of fresh air in this odd sub-genre.

At least Danica is humble enough to realise this interview is the best that could ever happen to her channel, unlike Cathy Newman or Helen Lewis. Respect to you, madam!
