Easy chocolate cakes for two!

bro i’m meant to be sleeping but instead i’m following a tutorial at 2am

*Ingredients*
For the cake:
50g plain flour
35g granulated sugar
20g cocoa powder
½tsp baking powder
30g unsalted butter, melted
125ml warm water

For the topping:
10g cocoa powder
30g icing sugar
1tbsp milk (or more if needed)
Sprinkles

1) Preheat your oven to 180°C/ Gas Mark 4/ 160°C (fan).

2) For the cake, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder until combined.

3) Next, whisk the melted butter and warm water into the mix until smooth.

4) Divide the mix into 2 ramekins.

5) Bake them for 20 minutes and let them cool.

6) For the topping, mix together the cocoa powder, icing sugar and milk until smooth.

7) Spoon the icing onto the cakes and smooth them out.

8) Top with sprinkles (optional).

9) Enjoy!

Adding brewed coffee (regular or decaf) in place of the warm water would really elevate the chocolate flavor! As would a pinch of salt.

35g sugar= approximately 3 tbsp
20g Cocoa powder= little less than 1/4 cup
1/2 tsp baking powder
30g melted butter= 2 tablespoons
125ml warm water= 1/2 cup

Bake 20 min 356/ 320 (fan) Fahrenheit

30g icing sugar= exactly 1/4 cup
10g cocoa powder= 2 tbsp
1 tbsp milk
