To think, I’ve learned how to bake breads, croissants, cinnamon rolls, complicated cheesecakes, caramels, etc and have been, for many years, scared to try making lava cakes & now, I learn, they are THE EASIEST of all to make😂😂😂 Yep, making these for my mom’s 84th birthday next week!! I know this is a different video but I made the thump print cookies yesterday for my friends and family and they absolutely loved it! My mom even asked me to make seconds tomorrow because she didn't get to eat much. I love you, truly a savor ❤

Thanks for this fabulous recipe. I made it today and left it in the fridge to bake this evening to enjoy after our Valentines dinner.
I baked them for 7 min but they needed an extra 2 ( at least) because they were baked just out of the fridge. Otherwise perfect!

I used this recipe today, except I made two massive lava cakes in 10 oz ramekins and adjusted bake time to about 11 mins. They were extra runny, so probably could’ve used another minute or two in the oven. They tasted fantastic though! Thanks for the recipe 😊

So I have made mac & cheese && lasagna with you so far. My kid's loved them! Lol I never had someone to teach me to cook.& I find a lot of people go too fast for me when I watch their videos. But you make it simple for me & explain steps. I really appreciate that. I must try this one next bc i am a chocolate lover

Instead of flour to prep the ramekins, I use cocoa powder to dust the inside. Flour sometimes leaves a white residue (which is covered by the powdered sugar), but it still bothers me. The cocoa powder sometimes leaves a brown residue in the cakes, but it's not noticable and allows you to leave off the powdered sugar. I sometimes like non-sweetened whipped cream or just the raspberries. 💖🌞🌵😷

Great recipe! I use a similar one. Instead of white sugar I use brown sugar as it gives a nicer molasses flavor. I also put frozen ganaches in the center to provide the lava. The batter though is the same.
