My parents were farm kids who caught the tail end of the great depression & they were very fugal & self sufficient. They taught us how to grow a garden, canning, hunting etc.... One thing they hammered into us was never trust the government ever. The government never works for our benefit only theirs & they don't solve problems, they cause problems. I don't like what's coming but I am getting prepared.

I have been preparing for 3 years. Canned food, dehydrated food, winter clothing that is in good shape, silver/gold coins. I've paid off credit cards and paid for big repairs(sewer lines most recently). I bought a greenhouse. I learned to can and garden. I eat locally....my beef, chicken, lamb, buffalo and eggs. I didn't do it over night. It has taken 3 years and I have more to do, but Glenn is right. Financial analysts are saying the same thing. The market will crash and turn over to digital wallets for everyone.

Well, i do have my reservations about the economic crisis. Wall Street pitched so-called quality stocks with high profitability and low debt, as a kind of insurance against whatever the economy might throw at you. Quality stocks have underperformed the S&P500 this year, My $650K portfolio is down by approximately 20%, any recommendations to scale up my ROI before retirement will be highly appreciated.

I have a hydroponic greenhouse, and I grow so many tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, onions, broccoli, I have enough for my family and neighbors, I gives bundles of vegetables to them and I cannot tell you how rewarding it feels to contribute to some of their needs. I love gardening and I love caring for animals.

Have to make sure we have right priorities. That is the main reason we are in this trouble in the first place. Doesn't mean don't prepare, for the Bible has many examples of that, but preparing with the right outlook and trusting in the Savior who holds our lives.
