Honestly she’s just baking her skin, and increasing her risk of getting skin cancer

She's not even going for a tan. She's going for a whole race change. 😂 Why would anyone want such a huge difference in colour like that 🤣

It's always amazed me the difference upbringings based on locations bring. On one side of the world people are going to crazy lengths to slightly darken their skin while on the other people are going to equally crazy lengths to bleach their skin. Its amazing the impact society has on what we find aesthetically pleasing.

You know, by tanning like that you're going to age way faster than your peers. Every time you tan, you're damaging your DNA. This can cause mutations, and with every cycle your body's ability to repair becomes weaker. In a more superficial way means you're going to look way older than your age. Is it worth looking ten years older than you are for a tan? No amount of retinol or facials can repair DNA damage caused by over exposure to UV. Get full spectrum SPF and wear a fake tan. Ask yourself, hypothetically, when you get older do you wanna be the "homely nice mom" or "Stacey's mom"?

I'm always outside in the summer, and usually on the water. I wear water-wicking UV-protected thin long-sleeved hoodies, long UV fishing pants, sailing gloves, and water-proofed leather moccasins. I still tan a bit, but never burn, and don't get overheated. I can swim, sail and kayak in this get-up easily.

I don't get why people want to deliberately overdose on UV rays and destroy their skin. Your complexion will not thank you.

A tale as old as time: light wants to be dark, dark wants to be light, curvy wants to be thin and thin curvy, straight curly and curly straight. Everybody wants what they can never obtain and are forever miserable because of it; putting down and criticizing those who have ‘it’. Then they blame it on ‘society’ not realizing that society is them- no one ever believes that they are the one raindrop that causes the flood- it’s always someone else’s fault I can’t be happy in my own skin. Blah. Blah. Blah.

Iam from India and many people here put makeup/try facials to make them more "fair" there was even a famous brand called "fair and lovely" so you could imagine my reaction when I saw people trying to make them look more tan

And you know you will never be "perfect" there will always be people who don't like our appearance/personality so don't change yourself for others and live your life, be happy and confident cause you deserve it.

When Dr. Dray mentioned that a tan is basically "scarring" or damage...i could never look at tanning the same. And that product name..☠ Throw it away.
