Another tip
I used to do this. And sometime still fall into it
I was over flattering myself with the work I produced.
And than show it to others and they aren’t as impressed as I was. It’s also a place that could stunt your growth
Be humble and realize that there are thousands of gifted and clever designers out there

I do have a question. Can a guy be a graphic designer and an illustrator (raster for the most part) at the same time? Or do u think i should give up one of them

#1 made me laugh because when I started I quit my job thinking people were going to magically find me because I had a portfolio up and didn't realize it takes many years to build your reputation to create steady income so I had to back to work.
