I have heard a million times
"Just get over it"
"What's wrong with you"
"You're faking it"
"Why did you jump"
"You're too young to have PTSD"
"Why are you acting so weird it was just noise"

people just don't understand and that's why you're amazing you make me feel like I'm not alone I have c-ptsd and I have so many triggers it and I'm still figuring out new ones every day it just sucks

and it freaks so many people when I just shut down or act weird/jumpy
or I have to have cigarette break because my anxiety is through the roof from being triggered
I just sucks

The first one is a trigger for me... I am terrified of people trying to scare me... PTSD is terrible

Had a bad flashback last week at work caused by a very aggressive coworker, I was really surprised who supportive the rest of the crew was, been so worried this person is going to trigger another one.

Trust me PTSD can be triggered from someone yelling at you, to getting shot at, hang in there my brothers and sisters of PTSD. We’re in this together.

I'm listening to ur videos and doing homework.. I agree 💯 with what you said.. It's not something in a snap of a finger get rid of.. Hell I wish it was that easy but it's not.. not even close.. Yeah therapy and meds help.. but in fairness they honestly only do so much

I struggle with BPD, PTSD, recurrent depression, GAD, ADD, panic disorder.Yeah, I've worked as a paramedic. But I also went through other traumatic experiences. My mom was an addict to alcohol and benzos. She had constantly changing partners. Some of them were abusive and violent.
PTSD is real.It's a f*cking nightmare.

One that makes me angry is, "Suck it up and learn to deal with it."

Some people can be so....ugh. Unfortunately, stigma still exists!

Nothing I hate more when someone says I don't have a problem 😠.. Have you been through the shit I've been through? No you haven't so how do you know what I'm going through? Or tell me how to feel with my emotions 😔 It drives me crazy.

The disbelief that PTSD is appalling to me. Some people just don’t know and some others don’t know respect. Thank you for sharing this.

I was in a really bad car accident last year that left me with PTSD. I get so many people saying to just "get over it.". I can't just get over it. It is a battle every day and night. I fight myself to get up, and I fight myself to go to sleep.

I have PTSD, GAD, OCPD, Anxiety, Depression, Night terrors, Todd Syndrome & Disassociation with Obsessive thoughts & acts. I broke up with a guy & he got so mad, he held me at gunpoint for 40 minutes. Thankfully, His Brother showed up & I ran for the door. He gave His 170LB Rotweiler a kill command. I died twice & He killed Himself.

It is a struggle living with PTSD. For me, being startled is dangerous. People don't understand when my adrenaline kicks in, i can't stop it until i am exhausted. Fight or flight feeling.

I have PTSD and everything you have said not to say to someone with PTSD I hear everyday, my father once told me that he did not raise me to be a sensitive child and he didn't ever abuse me so why do I have PTSD, but just because my parents never did something to me doesn't mean that no one else did, I was silent, I still am silent about what I go through and no one understands that when I'm silent, there is so much more going on in my head than anyone could imagine. Thank you for bringing this to light for other people.
