X and Y chromosomes explained

X linked chromosomes explained,Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. One pair determine the gender of the child.A female will have xx chromosomes and males will have an x and a y chromosome
The x and y chromosomes not only carry the genes that determine male and female traits but also some other characteristics as well.
Since only men inherit Y chromosomes, they are the only ones to inherit Y-linked traits. The y chromosome carries around 200 genes.
There are about 1,100 human X-linked genes.
Most of them code for something other than female anatomical traits. Some X-linked genes are responsible for abnormal conditions such as hemophilia, red-green color blindness,
and "male pattern baldness".

I got permanently banned from the Roblox LGBT Hangout Game because my stand explained XX/XY chromosomes and that determines your gender.

This is completely false. It completely disregards the fact that men can use Tampax tampons and are female

Appreciate your effort, but why would you say 'X' and 'Y' chromosomes explained, give a way too short video then talk about recessive and dominant disorders? I wanted the full explanation you promised in the title! I'm just very confused about the entire concept right now: that first image shown of all the chromosome pairs, with the 23rd being the sex chromosomes - how would you divide that pair to reflect what exactly 'X' is, and what exactly 'Y' is?
One of the pair is a maternal chromosome, which must be XX. Is half of it X, the other half X (distinguished by the centromere)? And then for the paternal chromosome, is half of this 'X', then half 'Y'? I just don't understand it.

This is mostly correct, although the complete definition of male is having a y chromosome. Whereas female has no y chromosome.

The reason it's more correct to say it like this is because there are so-called intersex people. So my definition covers them too.

Someone with an XXY makeup can only reproduce as male if not sterile.

Someone with a single X or a trisomy or a tetra or whatever is female and can only reproduce as such if not sterile. Despite not having a second x.

Just curious, do sex chromosomes get recombined in the mitosis process just like the non-sex chromosomes? I Also understand that autosomal dna are responsible for the function and physical traits of an organism. However, I would think that sex chromosomes play a more significant role in phenotype expression. Thanks!

They sure say 'coding' a lot. How can a computer code without a programmer?

Yeah, ...This title makes a promise worthy of a 2 hour video, not minute one.
