Chromosomes Are Not Sexes

Some claim that rare chromosome combinations prove there are more than two sexes, yet these combinations still result in males and females, not new sexes.

Talk about sleight of hand. He listed all but two various chromosome make ups. Two outliers that I notice are conveniently left out of this discussion. The video implies that the presence of a Y chromosome will always = male.

However, Swyer Syndrome (XY) is female while male syndrome (xx) is male. Which brings us back to the question what determines sex?

Turtles both male and female have same chromosomes, so definition of sex by chromosomes just can't work. That's why definition of sex for all species is not involving them at all and not mentioning them. Instead definition is - what reproductive role body was developed to fulfill (or what is fulfilling right now, when species can swap between them).

There is an argument that since there are more genes involved in determining male or female phenotype, not just SRY, receiving male genitalia does not necessarily make you male mentally or physically.

Which chromosome constellations do intersex people have? People who have internal and/or external of both sexes? How many variations are there? which chromosome constellation do women have who don’t have internal female organs? And would you call them female? In your video you said the sex is determined to the organs they develop

So, how does one explain a female with a Y chromosome? This happens. One famous one was an olympian athlete who wasn't allowed to compete because her genetic test came back male.
