This is exactly what I needed to hear! While I have learned to practice some of these things already the nature of my job is that everything can be a priority 1 and everything can be on fire so just stepping back and prioritizing and being assertive in it has helped me! Definitely gonna learn more about essentialism because the other makes me have anxiety, feel like I'm not getting anything done, doubt my own skills, and not grow more in my skills.

This is also a good strategy for the ADHD life.

This is right where I am at. I want to spend my time playing around with new ideas, but i dont have my fundamental systems in place yet to allow me to spend the time yet.

"the hard and boring work of building systems"
People like myself LOVE doing that sort of thing. In actual fact, the systems and processes created actually HELP to free up the "how am I going to do this thing?" steps because the ideas can be quickly "plugged into" the systems and processes already done.
That's why I became a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist years ago.
That's also why so many people cannot understand my thinking--but are grateful when a process is done, because they'll say, "Oh wow, that's so easy". 😄
