Skyrim Multiplayer Just Got a New Update

Today we take an updated look at the newly updated Skyrim Together, the Skyrim multiplayer co-op mod. Earlier today Skyrim Together's Reborn version got its first major update as a free download to everyone.

Hey man, if you haven’t, you should cover all of the combat improvements that have been made to Skyrim over the last year or so with Animation Motion Revolution, SkySA, and AXDP | MCO. They completely transform the way you play the game and I think there’s definitely potential for legit soulsborne-quality PvP servers down the line.

Hey, dev here, we'll push out a minor update tomorrow. One thing it will include is not listing servers on the server list by default. So if people use private servers that are not port forwarded, they won't show up on the server list unless the server owner explicitly configures it to.

I've ever been able to get into Skyrim, but this has completely won me over. I love playing together w family and friends and my wife LOVES Skyrim. So I'm definitely getting this.

All I would love to ask them to fix or amend:

1 - Markers to show where friends are (even if all same colour, no names), friends names always showing toggle ?

2 - Remove invisible enemies, couple of friends being jumped by invisible bandits = game breaking.

That's what ruined the experience for myself mainly.
Mod is 100% amazing btw, impressive stuff!

Imagine this mod for Fallout 4. Exploring with a buddy, creating your settlement etc.. Would be awesome. A bit like everyone wanted from fallout 76. A true coop experience instead of a boring broken mess.

I could see a strong benefit to having joiners not absolutely need the mods to play on a modded server. Have them play on a character NPC that works as a copy/paste of their own single player world or a fresh NPC. You'd control the NPC through a stream, avoiding the hassle of downloading everything just to join a friend. That way you could join in with a lot less barriers of entry, making it much easier.

For the same of convenience, you could have settings around it similar to Minecraft, where other players can load into different spaces/cells as to not bind them to only where the server host is. The host would be an anchor point, but the joinee would still use their computer resources to load spaces where the host currently isn't at. So the server host's computer doesn't friggin' suicide itself over Skyrim, lol.

It'd just be nice as a modded server standard. I've had so many times where my friends almost joined me in an epic mod pack world, only to say no to it when they see the 300 GB download for all the mods. And that's just on top of the time to set up the mod pack 😂.
