Need more co-op games nowadays. A co-op rpg that isn't an mmo would be great and this proves it.

These Modders are exactly the people that should be making these games or helping to do so. Phenomenal work

Surprised there isn’t more games like this honestly. Idk why game developers are so scared of allowing free flowing multiplayer.

I remember playing skyrim with my little brother when it came out, we only had one xbox so we would split our playtime but watch eachother play and we kept fantasising about playing it together in coop and we thought it would be the coolest thing to do together but he passed away this year, I wouldve loved to play this with him

Step one: get an even number of players

Step two: Activate PvP

Step three: Half of the players go Stormcloak, the other half go Imperial

This is exactly what I've always wanted. Whenever I'd mention co-op people would shout profanities at me. I've said the same thing since Fallout 3 "Just the ability for a friend to control your companion" and this is basically that. The main guy does the quest, talks, and you can play with him. It's still the same game, it's not all MMO'd out. You're just allowed to experience it with others.

Finally I can achieve my dream of playing through skyrim as a support healer

They could add lockstep to their netcode. It's code that checks once in a while to enforce one authoritative view of the game world. So, if you join someone else's game, and they're the "quest leader, " all clients regularly have their variables forced to equate to that of the quest leader's client. For example, if you join a game where a door is open for the quest leader, but it shows closed to you, the lockstep code will force your door to be open. If your position is different on the quest leader's client-server from your client, you will be teleported to the appropriate spot. The hard part can be accounting for communications delays and interpolation to make the experience smooth for the players.

Ahhh co-op, it must be nice having friends to play games with.

I could see one player turning on flight, no clip, invisibility, and having control over all the mods (like spawning enemies and items). And he plays as the DM in a online game of D&D in Skyrim. You could just roll play NPC conversations through chat like you would normally do in a tabletop game.

So much respect to anyone that pours their time and effort into mods just to benefit the community. Thank you to all mod authors for making one of my very favorite games even more incredible than it already is ❤️

This mod has come a looong way. I remember when Bethesda announced they were against the mod, said they wouldn't let the mod use Steam's servers, it was a major setback. Kudos to these guys for insisting on the idea and coming up with an incredible finished product. That's why this game will outlive The Elder Scrolls 6, the community is just great.

This is what so many actually wanted for a Fallout game as well but we got Fallout 76 instead.

dude, imagine when all of beyond skyrim is released (in 10000 years) and have skyrim together work with it. Exploring all of tamriel together with your friend would be awesome

I tried it with my friend today, it was so fun. Actually a childhood dream.

This brings a very interesting concept to Elder Scrolls, even though it’s a mod. I think Bethesda should implement coop into their games going forward, it would be a lot of fun but wouldn’t change the dynamic of the game much making solo still feel good and classic.

Things that need a fix would be:
- Mobs not changing aggro from the server host to someone else.
- general sync-issues
- people spawning in naked
