They don't know how the image got on the shroud, but they definitely know the shroud itself was manufactured in the late 12th century, more than 1, 200 years after the accession of Jesus to Heaven, so image is not that of the dead Jesus.

Really Jesus was scorned so bad that their wasn't 1mm of his body that wasn't covered in blood. So how hard is it to believe that the shrude that covered his whole body couldn't print his image on it.

The real problem ab. the shroud is that you (& your friends) want to believe God made it and in order to do so you (& your friends) ignore all the contraindications. For one major one is that this was NOT how ancient Jews interred their dead. One sheet head to toe front & back. Find just one other example. You won't bc it never happened. But yet other modes of internment do exist but this one no.

It contradicts the Biblical account. Also, others were resurrected and there is no record of any of them imaging into cloth. Fake.

This cloth is from a Maria apparition and found to be of similar inexplicably nature, notable is the original cloth was modified with paintwork.
