ive watched all your series so far and i love your tutorials, i was wondering if you would ever be doing a text based game tutorial, i know there are hundreds but imo i think alot of people would be eager to see how you would make one

The reason why the Color variables have two names is because the person who originally programmed them made them lowercase; however, it's more proper to make them uppercase, so he made both. In other words, it was most likely an accident.

Instead of a side-scroller type game, couldn't you use the base rendering of this to make a top-down scroller, since a side-scroller and top-down game are genuinely quite similar in graphics, because I'm sure you could see a side-scroller as a deformed-ish top-down :P

When i added the @Override annotation over the key events at the end :(
