How to easily replace scales on a Victorinox Swiss Army knife

Hi everyone ! In this video I'm going to show you how to easily replace scales on a Victorinox Swiss Army knife. There are 3 steps :

- Remove the old unwanted scales
- Chose the desired scales
- Clip the new ones on using a vice and a cloth

If you warm up the scales first (with a hair dryer or warm water), you don't need a vice, you can simply press them against the table or something like that, it should be enough.

Also, if you want to reuse the old scales, you can warm up the scales before removal. They will become softer, and you can remove them with less damage (and easier, too).

Thanks for the video! I used it to see how to retreive the broken tooth pick from inside my Handyman. I popped the scale off with a watch case opener and put it back on using a watch case holder (like a very small vice). Now I have a new use for my watch tools :) Cheers!

A handy tip is to pull the cork screw up and use it to hold the knife in the vice.

Great video, but you dont need a vice if you have strong hands. I just pressed them on with my thumb but im used to heavy duty labour. 🤗
