Today @jjthebizkid teaches you how to use the new self soldering waterproof butt connectors.

I have always struggled with finding a connector that worked for the long hall and in just one step.

We love using these connectors especially on the boat.

Please comment below if you have used these connectors and how you like them.

Great job guys! I have watched a couple videos on heat shrink self-solder. Yours has come out the best. I guess the lighter is the way to go.

I wouldnt twist together personally. Im sure it works ok but the point of these is to make less resistance and not have to twist together. I slide them into each other before heating. Either way these connectors are great!!!

They say a heat gun is better and more uniform. I am going to try these out, might do it your way so I don't need to buy a gun.

Great demo and using a gas lighter type device (not seen myself) is damn quick.. Can you say what that device is branded or described as please? Ps I still can't get used to the spoken word sodder for solder.. but hey that's Europeans for you.. We say it similar to Soldier with the L .. :).. Still thanks for taking the time to edit and post it up.

Sorry son, but most of your solder didn’t melt. It needs more heat. You have a cold joint now that is not reliable. But hey, when it starts sparking, it will get hot and the goal will be achieved after all. 😉
