Accurate. We walk like this till we get distracted enough to run into something 😅😂

The adhd experience of having random bruises around your hip area lol

Extremely accurate. And it’s annoying when that countertop just jumps out of nowhere. 😅

Yes. I'm ADHD and I do this because I forget that I need to avoid obstacles until the last second and this is the most efficient way to dodge.

I was like "nahh, I don't think I do that very often."

Then got up to bring my pizza plate to the kitchen and immediately dodged my chair...

I feel called out. Not because I’m offended, but I never realized it.

I always automatically thought that it was the most effective way to walk while maintaining your speed in order to get to your objective.

The first time I realized that not everybody does this is when a coworker laughed because of the way I moved 🙃

Bro I’ll play a whole custom-made movie in my head while I’m walking.

This is entirely accurate, although there is still the occasional "pinky-toe-to-the-furniture" issue we need to resolve.

Used to literally slip between in the crowds of people so fast in highschool that they thought I was a mad man and I was mad. mad to be bored at school so I found out how to get to every class asap so the school day could seem to end faster.

I've always done this and have always known I have ADHD but never really knew the two were linked until I started seeing people talk about it

110% accurate lol especially hitting your hip on the corner

This is me particularly in public spaces... dodging people and other obstacles whilst keeping laser focused on getting to my destination lol. It's worse when I have my headphones on.

Remember ADHD is different for everyone so some people might do this and some people might not. Me personally I don’t do this and I have ADHD but there’s plenty of people in the comments saying that they do. It’s different for everyone so just remember that❤

I have ADHD. I walk like this and then I realize that I'm walking straight into a door and my brain says, "well, this is the end" and I just crash into a closed door that isn't even transparent.

Yep. We run around like we're just a pair of floating eyeballs, but luckily our body does move out of the way at the last minute most of the time. Until it doesn't.

for me, this is true. i think this is why i can get through crowds easily. aldo the hitting your leg part is so relatable because it happens all the time to me😭🙏🏻

Yes, and I recently learned why.
It's an adaptation literally from running into things when we were young. Not everyone with ADHD will do this but the more severe the ADHD the more likely you are to walk like this.
Essentially it comes down to the fact that with how easily distracted you are with ADHD. Children with ADHD are far more likely to simply be clumsy and run into things that they weren't paying attention to begin walking in a manner physically Dodges things around them as if the objects were coming at them instead of them walking towards the object.
