Pretty sure Apple entering the gaming space would be worse than better. They'd overprice all the hardware, and who knows what they'd do with game companies/softwares being on the OS, just like Epic Games on their iPhone.

You could format things above 32gb in fat32 you would just need special software, I've been doing it for my wii and 3ds homebrew

I suspect (tho I could be wrong) that the games that run better as administrator are likely games that use an anti-cheat that runs as administrator and there is overhead in interfacing between the two different user groups.

FAT32 update is going to save some of us BIOS flashers a headache. Digging around for an old flash drive that was less than 32gigs to format was a pain in the ass.

Brett, in regards to your weekend review, the 7040 series had an NPU that got upt to 10 TOPS. The 8040 series had an NPU that got up to 16 TOPS. So yeah, the new Ryzen APUs do have a 3rd generation NPU. Sure, it's using XDNA2 as opposed to XDNA for the first two APU generations, but it's the 3rd generation of laptop chips with ever increasing NPU computation capabilities.

Now that AMD is getting into NPUs and now that Zen5 seems to be looking pretty good on energy efficiency and at low watt performance, I wonder if they're going to modify FSR to use the NPUs for upscaling for gaming handhelds.

The Floatplane/Firefox comment was a reference to a discussion on The WAN Show a while back where Linus made a statement about how everyone uses Google Chrome despite a lot of people claiming to be on FireFox, a poll was put up on Floatplane, and the group trolled Linus with the answer. So it's now a running joke.

the fat32 being above 32GB and now its 2tb limit thing had been around for a long time... its just windows were not willing to let us format fat32 natively on their OS to anything above 32GB... they had the limit above 32 GB for a long time but never had allowed windows users to format FAT32 to above 32GB... its because they wanted to push for total NTFS.... even ExFAT was removed from GUI natively and you have to do it on command line....
