In our workshop there are often HP computers from graphic designers or architects who need exactly this chip again. At that time you spent thousands of dollars on Cat programs or graphics programs and either the programs no longer exist or you have to buy them completely new for a new operating system. It is only useful in work stations that uses a lot of processing power and almost 0 graphic power, so it don't drain calculation capability from cpu. I'm not a technician but I don't see any other use

A RTX3050 6gb is around €210, the RX6400 is €140, things are very expensive here in EU, so if you just need another monitor, that's a good purchase for 50 to 70 euros

and yes he is right, every game at 720p min settings, and some games are unplayable no doubt about that, but some I still make do with, btw no one intending to spend on something to play games with should be buying good graphics card and I know "just get a used one if youre that short on money" is the usual advice you get but what I'd say is just save up, as long as it takes to get up there to buy a new or newish gen graphics card

because us who have the least to spend are the very ones who can afford to get ripped off buying a used card

I used to play ark in prerelease with this card back in the day… the pc was primarily for audio production but it played games!

The graphics in your processor are probably more powerful. Could make sense for retro builds like a windows XP machine, but GTX 980 would have been the better choice.

Even if you dont want to buy a used gpu. And still only want to spend around 50 dollars on amazon you can get a quadro p400 brand new for 51 dollars and its twice as strong. (Not that its a good option either) But this is purely chasing a specific customer.

If this still uses either Ferni or Keplar, the chips themselves are not supported by Nvidia anymore. I know as I had the Ferni based GT 610 and thus no DX12 for use with Windows 11. Crashes and causes issues.

Nope, not spending my hard earned funds for something likely not supported. I now tun the A770 in a new build.
