Anyone else feels the need to take a deep breath often? Like your chest and back feel tight 24/7 that you need to take deep breaths but taking them is difficult? Also do you feel bloated most of the time and every after meals? It’s like you’re having constant indigestion. Because these are what I constantly feel along with other physical symptoms and they are very hard to deal with 24/7

I am all the things you mentioned, I push myself with endless to do lists, I need to get this done, I need to get that done, forcing myself to do so to the point of exhaustion, I am amped up 24/7 from morning till night, can't take a deep breath, my heart pounding, my mind racing and unable to sleep, at the same time physically exhausted. I try to tell myself this isn't me, that I choose not to be in this frantic state, that my thoughts are not true or real, but there's little if any relief. I am totally miserable, feeling like a prisoner in my own mind. It has affected every aspect of my life, including my marriage. I hear all the "all you have to do's" but I can't seem to get a grip on the first steps to put them in my mind for the right self talk to my intrusive thoughts. I feel like this is totally ruining my life. I'm 73, an age that I know I should be enjoying my life but it is just the opposite. I just don't know where to turn for help.

It start from health anxiety in 2020, then come neck pain, arm pit pain, it recover, but then go to seratus anterior, it recover again but come again, in the right chest, recover again, now in left chest plus neck, shoulder, arm pit. I take medical check up annually and there is no real health concern, but I always anxious. I pray that everyone who have health anxiety can recover 🙏🏻

1 huge challenge is that I care for my elderly mom who was & is very unhealthy mentally, emotionally, physically & spiritually. I work on healing me & still have her unhealthy energy in my space daily so if you can offer 1 piece of information that can help me on my journey while being in such a negative environment daily, I'd greatly appreciate it Dennis! 🙏

These ideas are a necessary reminder for me. I'll feel like I'm getting better ... and maybe I am...but a stressful situation will come up and I'll really be set off. I did have this experience yesterday and I did start spinning out in my mind. I had a valid reason to get concerned but I needed to pull back at least 75% of the intensity as the day and evening progressed. It did happen, but it's an exercise of will and patience..maybe just exhaustion too. I want to become thoroughly convinced that it is possible to control the focus of the mind.

I notice that amongst therapists or I guess psychiatrists, the first thing that's suggested is to take a pill. I would like to develop my will power at this point in my life anyway and try to gain control of my mind and my life. I'm not against getting help in the form of meds or supplements etc., but I have lost so much of myself and my strength for a variety of reasons.

So by your videos I do get the impression it is possible to get a grip on what's happening when it comes to fear and response. i want to listen to this video again or more times so I understand how the anxiety process works and that the habits of being in this state of mind are patterns. Just realizing the many elements of anxiety is a wonderful step in neutralizing at least some of the emotional intensity of the experience. I want peace.

Hi Dennis, thankyou so much for all the videos!! I have found that they really help with my health anxiety :)) I was wondering if you would ever make a video on health anxiety about anxiety itself, like fearing the symptoms that anxiety would/could cause?

I have been living with anxiety for so long that I no longer count in years, but decades. I was able to overcome most of it by doing meditation and self care. But again in the last weeks it came back with all its strength, and felt to it. The thing is, I know it's anxiety, I know I am safe, but still, it's hard to overcome it when you are over the thresholds due to uncontrollable life issues. The true is, we are all humans. We fail. We are not in control. And that is ok. We can kind of learn how to control our response to the world and our body symptoms, but everyone has a limit. Our body has limits. We just have to learn them, and usually that happens thru pain.

Thanks for all you do, Dennis. I have been dealing with acute pain in what (I thought was my kidneys). The pain has been going on for at least the past two months. However, something told me that the pain I was having is related to childhood trauma "trapped" in my body. I know you know what I mean. I went to see a doctor two days ago and he ran some labs and said I passed with flying colors. The pain turned out to be a back muscle spasm.(However, I have not been injured and the bed I have is fine). He prescribed some muscle relaxants, Ibuprofen, and a steroid. I felt some peace from that news. It's better than a kidney issue. I'm starting to feel better. (I didn't want to tell the doctor about childhood trauma). He would have probably dismissed it.😁 Thanks again.
