Vice President Kamala Harris is currently the frontrunner to become the Democratic nominee for president following President Biden's decision to drop out of the race.

If Harris wins the nomination, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is seen as one of the frontrunners to become her vice presidential nominee.

Philadelphia Democratic Chair Bob Brady became one of the first party leaders to endorse Shapiro for the VP nomination on Sunday following Biden's announcement on social media.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro would be the very best Vice President choice for Kamala Harris. The Democrats can't win without Pennsylvania!

1:13 No RFK is the candidate with the best chance of beating DT. It's a guaranteed win for RFK and no legal challenges could be brought by DT because he's already on the ballot.

I don’t think that Obama and Pelosi want Kamala. They want Whitmer or another Governor (eg Shapiro).

The day Biden resigned and endorsed Harris, nearly everyone I knew - myself too - almost immediately wondered, "Who would be her VP pick?" My mind conjured 4 names came to mind: Beshear (KY gov), Shapiro (PA gov), Cooper (NC gov) & Allred (TX Sen). Later the name Kelly (AZ gov) was mentioned and... yes... I forgot about this good choice. Each of these candidates not only offer a massive boost to winning swing states, but - especially in the case of Allred or Cooper - flipping a blue state as well.

Given Allred has not been mentioned, he's off my list.
Given little mention has been made of Cooper, he too is off my list.
This leaves Kelly, Shapiro and Beshear.

Although Kelly would be a very good choice and help solidify AZ, he is not a great choice, as he only solidifies on swing state. So he is off my list.

Of the candidates I have heard speak about the possibility of being nominated (Beshear, Shapiro & Cooper), only one stands out as someone I feel commands respect and doesn't come across as just another career politician. That would be Andy Beshear.

I was blown away during his post Biden interview. The way he spoke. The way he defended his people against Vance's, "lazy people, " insults and how he actually answered the question (as opposed to skirting the question) about being selected as Harris' VP.

After all the fakes and phonies we have seen - in both parties - it was refreshing to see someone who truly seemed genuine and sincere.

Although my choice would be 46 y/o, Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear; I'm thinking she may actually choose either Josh Shapiro (a great 2nd choice) or Mark Kelly (a not so great choice, as he doesn't solidify the rust belt or come close to flipping TX, FL or NC)

Cooper may give Harris NC, but does not solidify the rust belt.
Shapiro gives Harris the rust belt, but flips nothing.
Kelly gives her AZ but doesn't guarantee anything else.
Allred would possibly give her TX and NC and help keep GA blue... Maybe. It be a gamble, but if it worked, Harris would get CA, NY AND TX. The election would be a lock for Harris.
Beshear - IMO - is the best and safest bet. Not only are his speaking skills on point, he comes across as genuine. Although not as good in the rust belt as Shapiro, he is REAL CLOSE. Plus, he is the 2nd best choice to flip NC, FL and TX; as well as keeping GA blue.

If he can't run... He should go. He needs to go NOW. Biden's presidency has been a dismal convoluted colossal calamity.

She should pick Bashear from Kentucky, Democrat identity politics she could have her own middle American precieved "Hillbilly. " Way too much Jew hatred going on for Shapiro to be chosen.

*Would be a wise political decision. Especially considering how many electoral votes Pennsylvania brings as a swing state!*
