Shapiro also seems to be doing Biden's volume shift thing, where he makes a big impassioned build-up to a softly-spoken conclusion. So he's blending Obama and Biden.

I think it's the fact that Obama was a great orator, and his diction and cadence when he spoke was infectious. You actually see and hear a lot of folks slip into it, sort of have that cadence and bravado that Obama spoke with. I wouldn't be surprised if it was unintentional. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional as well. He is a great public figure and public speaker, and I'm sure there's a method to how and why he spoke like that, and why so many folks emulate it
