Ajwain in english is carom seeds, so if you get confused, just ask the shopkeeper for carom seeds. Or, maybe grow into your garden😉

The leaves are also edible and taste really good 😋, also indian chickpeas are dark color and taste way sweeter, the plant has pulple flowers and red stems while the european ones have white flowers and green stems.
Both grow well in the weather of Cantabria (north of Spain 🇪🇦) the indian chickpeas you can eat them green and they are sweet, while the european ones is better let them ripe.

The leaves taste kinda like spinach, though i prefer toasting pumpkin leaves, the chickpea leaves are really tasty too.

Finally, its really easy to roast the chickpeas for snacks, first microwave them at 900W for 3 minutes, them boil them for 8 minutes, and strain to throw away the water, then fry them untill crunchy and add salt and a bit of chili oil, you can eat them like popcorn or add to any dish some crunch, delicious 😋

Hara chana puris now mostly just exist in Indian villages, I had them a lot in my childhood, I loved those green chanas, in Uttar Pradesh we still eat our kachoris like that, u should also try bedai kachoris in which we add black lentils or urad dal masala stuffing and consume them with Lauki kalachana along with mango pickle, green chutney and red tamarind chutney, oh the best
