Love my 2019 Ram Limited! Good job Ram I’m sure they’ll knock it out of the park!

So the electric ram will be called “ Ramcharger “

Let's be honest, knowing ram.. they will knock it out of the park once it's released and they have plenty of time to know what they are up against

I'm way more interested in plug in hybrids than total electric vehicles at the moment. I wish someone would do a diesel plug in hybrid. The combination of range, power, and efficiency could be really great.

Where are all these companies going to get all these batteries? 200 kWh? They act like there is no end to battery supplies. Someone is lying.

I think the slow and steady approach here will work out for Ram. I also like how they seem to be offering this an alternative to ICE powered trucks vs just saying they are going all in. The good old Hemi appears to be with us for some time!

Smart...slow it down, learn from shortcomings sure to be present from others. Why the race, I know of no one who's excited or wants one honestly

I've been a RAM truck guy all my life, every pickup I've ever owned has been a RAM and I was just thinking yesterday about going electric so I think I'll wait to see what RAM comes out with, they're definitely my preferred brand over everyone else.

Think they should wait till better battery tech for better range and faster charge time.

I think it is actually smart of them to take it slow. We don't know how well the F-150 "Lightning" is actually going to sell so they are waiting for that and taking their time to develop. In 2024 we may have even better EV technology so Ram could use that to knock the Lightning out of the park. They already did an amazing job with the 5th generation so I'm sure they'll do fine here.

We could say Ram are late to the party, but it is no bad thing if they are taking their time and not rushing something to market. Also I like what they are doing with 700+hp gas engines. I just hope it doesn’t snd up a repeat of Chrysler in the 70s fuel crisis, selling what people used to want not what they currently want (we aren’t there yet, thankfully and I would personally prefer a v8!).

Absolutely zero interest in any EV, especially an EV truck that needs to be reliable and have great range.

Funny how nobody is talking how our shitty electric grid is gonna hold up when demand skyrockets

I d buy a cheap barebones electric with a small battery, but trying to compete with high energy density gas or diesels is a no go with today s battery tech

Give me fuel give me fire give me that which I desire Ooooo.

I hate that companies will force us to buy electric.

A lot of truck owners are weekend warriors and I don't think electric trucks will really take over until chargers are wide spread at the weekend warrior spots. 3hrs in any direction is what it takes for me to bring my SxS to the trails. Maybe an electric truck would make it there with a big enough battery but I'm not making it back.

I love my 2020 Ram Limited ecodiesel with a 500 mile range and can refuel in under 10 minutes. How long will it take to recharge an electric? With electric brownouts already this summer, what will it be like when 40% of the population is trying to recharge their vehicles overnight?

I’ve never owned a Ram/Dodge however, Andre’s report is very well reported.
