I almost had this happen going into the city. Some guy behind me went to the RIGHT and tried to overtake me before the turn lane came up and he was trying to merge while next to my car, thank God the person behind me was far enough away because that dude was not stopping so I had to brake to let him through. He could have so easily merged into the left lane and just went straight next to me. But no. That would be too easy.
