You are probably the only person on youtube who made an actual comparison of these very similar laptops, props to you. They y740 is actually better in many ways other than rgb keyboard, which is not apparent first, the only drowback of y740 is the macrokeys, i think the y540 layout is better!

I really wish the Y540 and Legion 5 15.6" would lite up their rear indicator lights as the Legion 7 does. I've never seen a YouTuber actually do comparisons of the BIOS between two notebooks, great job.

I've tested Omen and Y540 and I have to say I found Lenovo's display a little sharper, on the other hand it was a bit yellowish compare with Omen. The colors on Omen were much more brighter and natural. Maybe it's only my point of view. I've read some article, where was written Legion is better for photo and video editing due to it's natural colors. I have totally oposite opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong

Anxiously awaiting the new video on this laptop. I am in the market for two gaming laptops and cooling is super important. I have an enthusiast desktop so I dont need much more than the mobile 2060 for these laptops. Would you say that the y740 would be a good choice? Let's say temperature is the priority, what is the coolest running rtx 2060 laptop you've reviewed? Thank you again for the work that you do. I'm really glad to see more companies shipping you laptops to review rather than you paying out of pocket for each one like in the old days. I can't wait for this channel to get the attention it deserves for the best reviews out there. I really see your channel as the final word for any recommendations I make for friends, as well as my own choices. 1- So is the fan holes on both sides of Y740 bring air from outside to inside the laptop?
2- Is the screen anti-glare as omen laptop?
3- which screen dry your eyes faster? the omen or Y740?

I love everything about the Y740 except it’s lid design. Aesthetically I would like the lid to blend into the the back, and not have that “step” down where the hinges are. And I would make an option to lose the hard drive in favour of a larger battery, and go with dual ssd’s instead.

I don’t really care about webcams - I’ve never used one - but it should be on top.

I actually adore very much the progress of LCDs in lap's! This 500 nit is gorgeous. Tho backligtbleeding and level of blacks is a question. And 2060 is better than 2070maxQ in terms of price I guess.
And Is the LCD fast? in ms GTG

My Y40 worked for 15 minutes before the screen went black. I got an MSI GS75 Stealth. It's amazing, totally worth the extra money.

Thank you very much for your hard work making these in depth comparison videos! I want this thing so bad! I'm a sucker because I bought the y530 60hz gtx 1060 model in august! *crying inside* dying for the way more capable machine. The display on mine is somewhat disappointing at times with it's lackluster 250 nit ;( can barely hit 60 fps on most titles with high-ultra settings too.... sad day friends.

As much as I liked the overall look of the y740, I returned it 3 times because all 3 came with backlight bleeding and the temps in idle were around 55°C and no fan control with bios 1.10. And the battery lasts for about 2h while browsing in balance mode. I had the i7-9750 1660TI. It's a shame, really. Also, in my country I'm not allowed to open it at home because I lose my warranty, sadly.
