Dude, I just bought the 17” one today. i7-9750, 2080 max-q, 16 gig ram, 1 gig ssd. Unfortunately, the 17” screen wasn’t upgraded to 500 nits, but I got it for $1600 from their website (including a big fall sale and a military discount). Either way, I can’t wait to get it! Great vid!

A very good review, straight to the point for ones who don't want to look in detail, thanks

I haven't had a computer in years but I needed something for mainly business but I wanted something that can handle games well also. Bought the Lenova Y540 haven't come close to regretting my purchase. I researched alot before getting it, and I don't believe it's what most people would choose but it's a solid laptop. No issues whatsoever with it

Awesome review! I really like how you edit your videos, they look so cool.
Please do a review of the Lenovo Legion 5i or 7i! Those look great and are supposed to be Lenovo's new lineup.

Hey, so I have this same laptop and through some tweaking of throttlestop, some DIPM/HIPM power settings for the drives and setting the display to 60Hz through a custom Resolution Utility gets be about 5 hr 30 min, though I've seen as high as 6 hr 5 mins on this with about 35-40% brightness. I use it for university lectures notetaking with OneNote and a Wacom tablet plus for engineering applications and video editing/renders plus obviously gaming. Very happy with it so far, the 500 nit display is GORGEOUS.

Checking their forums, apparently these laptops is having thermal issue with the latest bios due to removing the feature to max out the fans.

Also @Jared Busch I think something is wrong with the boost clocks on yours. I'm able to easily hit 4GHz on all 6 cores using Cinebench R20 concurrent runs, scoring around 3020 points average. Single core I'm hitting around 4.3 GHz as well under Cinebench. Was too lazy to wait for the single core test to finish though 😂
