The 400m race is hell. I have been running for a while and it’s still so hard. People passing you, your brain automatically goes fast mode and you overwork yourself. When you finish your legs are jelly and your stomach messed up.

I run the 200 & 400, but the 400 is my biggest concern. When I see people in front of me running faster it makes me want to go faster. I try so hard not to go so fast and try tell myself to wait at the right moment but it dont happen. And of course when I hit that 200 mark I end up dying struggling to make it to the end.

quick tip for the 400: full sprint until the first hurdle mark (about 45 meters into the race). it shouldn’t take too much energy out of you, and it saves just enough to keep a fast pace for the first straightaway, and for a good final push.

When running the 400m you have to get out the first 50-100 meters. Then stride out for the next 100 (straightaway) once you hit 250 meters (top of the 2nd curve) thats when u start picking it up again and finishing through. People will pass you yes, you have to mentally prepare for the 400m. Keep some energy stored for the final 150 meters. You’ll get better as time goes on trust.

I have a problem when i do the 400m i say im gonna start out not to fast, but when they shoot that gun Everyone runs and i dont wanna get emberrased so i run fast to.

Who miss these track videos? Quick update. I have a knee injury which is why I haven’t made running videos lately. I’m still planning to run L.A. Marathon this month March 18th though!! I’m not a quitter.

i do this workout at least once a week, even before this video came out, but instead of the 800, i descend 400 then to the 200, it’s just works best for me. great vid

I was running the 400 in high school and I stopped my junior year with a time of 52 seconds. I really miss track and the whole aspect of it and you videos inspired me to go back to track so I'm training for the collegiate season right now. I know I can beat 48 seconds LETS

I remember being forced to run the 400m because the other sprinters on my HS team were being squares. I ended up having a decent time for my first year in with 57 seconds at only 5’6, so I had a lot of catching up to do with my strides. I ended up always being the starter for the 4x400 relays and I don’t regret doing it. It gave me a good experience on how much I hate that race. 🤣

Man I see this, and I'm watching this and this seems like something i definitely want to try. The other day i ran a 4:40 min mile and my goal is to run under 4:25 so I can compete in college. I noticed my endurance seemed good, but i needed to become faster in my 400s to reach my goal! Thank you for sharing this video 🙏🙏👍

thanks Rashaad, i started running track 5 weeks ago and my 400m is in the 59 and 1.00 time. but thanks to you I can now increase my speed and reduce the 400m time.

I run a 56 second 400m time, this actually really helped with my confidence and with doing this work out is def going to help me

I run a 47 sec 400 but that’s not where I wanna max out, im always pushing for better and this video is both informative and motivating.
