Makes me realize that the Roman Empire in it’s early years had a lot of experience in dealing and fighting Horse Archers due to their constant wars against their neighbor the Parthian Empire. Experience they could have desperately used during the Late Empire when the Huns came, and the Roman Empire’s military doctrine changed to defend the borders instead of expanding it.
