Meeting old and new friends at The Grande Brocante de Touchay!!

Journey to the Château, Ep. 224 - In this Wednesday episode, Patrick and Stuart go to the Grande Brocante de Touchay, one of the largest antique show / flea markets of the year in their area of France. Along with their friend Florence, they meet up with other friends living in France, as well as meeting some locals who they find out were born in their chateau! They also have a chance meeting with Dana of the YouTube channel @danascookbook who appeared on @TheChateauDiaries and works in collaboration with @escapetoruralfrance. Patrick and Stuart receive their paint delivery from Little Greene Company and Patrick starts the final painting in the Petit Salon. They also reveal the results of the name voting of their rescued chateau kitten.

The paint is amazing! Beautiful colour! Love your kitty! The name is very fitting. Advice— having dogs you likely already know: touch, hold the cat’s paws. Get him used to having you do this. Do it often. The reason is so you can trim his claws for the rest of his life. It is very difficult to cut our cat’s claws. He was a rescue. Having them cut is very traumatic, for him and us. He is bonded to you guys. It is a slippery slope to becoming crazy cat people, 😂, so be careful and enjoy.😉

I truly enjoyed hearing that you met some previous residents of the chateau, and that they plan on visiting during the open days! What a marvelous happenstance that was. I hope this will result in more of the chateau’s history being revealed, and also maybe you will be able to have your questions about the chapel answered. Figarrrooo! my favorite! and can i say how much i love how the pale green room is turning out? i love love the combination of wallpaper, painted wall, wall frame design and the color combo! i dont know what is it about watching you guys renovating the rooms on a background of classical music, is just relaxing my whole body! no other chateau vlog does this for me!
