Porsche once engineered a Merc, the 1990's W124 chassis 500E so a Porsche BMW would be interesting theoretically, though nowadays their order books are overflowing so they won't have time for that unlike back then when they were engineering guns for hire.

The best BMW ever is still the M3 CSL from the 2000s. I remember watching that on Top Gear, Clarkson loved it (which is rare)

I tried ordering one, but was a limited run. They are still selling the M4 CS and tried offering that to me but I didn't want that. I wanted a 4 door CS.
I was interested in the competition but I just liked the look of the CS more and just having the CS badging I thought it would've been cool.

I'm probably gonna wait until 2026 now when G80 generation is end of life and BMW rolls out a GT M3 like they did with the previous generation.
