I did a factory tour in '97. But it was a full on factory tour, on the floor with the employee's biulding these great cars. Did the body shop, engine room, interior making, etc. I fell in love with the 993Turbo. Had to have one. So saved up, and bought one 10years ago. Absolute dream.
Couldn't believe that the staff room provided one beer per man in their lunch break. Wow. There was no OHS back then for employee or visitor. It was a highlight of my life and Porsche experience. Have owned them for 32 years now!

I fell in love with the 911 while selling them at a Porsche dealership in 1982. My first 911 was a 79 930. That car nearly bankrupted me when I spun a rod on the crank while racing it. I was 26 making $1, 000 a month, lol. Since then, I've had 7 of them (all used, never been able to afford a new one.). My current is a 07 911 S cab. I bought it from the original owner, he is 81 years old, so there's still hope this won't be my last 911.

Thank you so much for this extremely well made video! I have very recently started following the Porsche history and have totally fallen in love with this legend. The design of all 911s totally makes sense, the unmistakable silhouette of the 901 which has stayed the same since 1963.
