Future of racing? Formula E unveils fully-electric car - the Spark-Renault SRT 01E
The sleek and stylish Spark-Renault SRT 01E debuts at the 65th Frankfurt motor show. The fully-electric racing car will compete next year in the first ever Formula E championship. Race organisers hope the new tournament will help push electric cars into the mainstream and boost sales. "At the moment people don't think of electric cars as fun, as cool, as interesting," says Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag. "When they see Formula E cars racing ... with drivers that are cool guys ... they will think that an electric car is something interesting, fun."
