My first debut is today!

Visualization is WAAAY underated by most people. Great advice. I would love to see your take or see you find an expert on how to nail the warm-up. That's something I still haven't got right.

Cus D'Amato also has good advice. Let fear work for you, know that your opponent is just as scared as you are. Face your fear and be a hero. A coward and a hero feel the same way, it is what you do that makes you a coward or a hero. Do you want to be a coward or a hero? Think about this before your next fight! It helps me big time

Usually when i have a fight coming up for U.S.A boxing i do this as a routine. The day before, eat light. Something healthy, chicken salad or some light soup. Fight day. Listen to music. Make sure to tell your friends to not message you until after your bout or fight is done. You need to gather your mental strength. Remember your combinations you learned and practiced, as well what you are going to do once the bell goes off. Stay calm, and keep your movement minimal. listen to your music since your energy is going to be used later on, make sure your drinking a just bit of water since you dont want it to weigh you down when your in the ring. Chew non sugar gum to trick your brain that your in a calm environment. This helps relax you a bit during your prep time before the fight. Listen to music and gather your thoughts. It's you or him, no matter how strong, big, or fast he may look, you will not be the one going home with your head down. Move your head, maintain your stance and go all out. Punches and bunches, punches and bunches. Seconds before its starts tell your self. "Let the chains fall to ground." (meaning in the ring the world just turned brutal between you and him or vice versa for girls.) FIGHT!

This doesn't work for everyone, but what I do is change my mindset from I *want/need* to win to simply this fight is a way for me to measure how much I've improved or how good I am. Kinda removes the thought of being scared to lose.

Ive been training for 19years and I nearly got into a street fight a few months ago and while trying to de-escalate the situation my knees then entire body started to shake. The unknown is scary haha
