My parents keep the temperature at 78 degrees all night. I sweat my self to sleep every night

In the winter months I’ll prefer 67 when sleeping and 70 during the day.

I keep mine on 72 winter and summer. You are going to pay the high price bills anyway. You have to be comfortable

NOOOO...how a thermostat works...on a curve. It is set at a number. Calls for heat, runs until 4 degrees above the set number. Turns off . Room immediately leaks heat. (windows, doors, no insulation, old crappy house, etc). Thermostat waits for the curve of 4 degrees below setting, then kicks on until 4 above. It does this no matter what ya set it on. Dont listen to them. Its a curve at 59 or 69. Also...buy a couple small electric room heaters, heats up an icy bedroom or t.v. room in minutes. About $20.
