There's a combat veteran who does Ukraine war coverage on youtube and his theory is that they don't have enough forces who are sufficiently trained to execute any complex manoeuvres. It ain't Putin who is personally directing the Russian forces, and some of the people who are actually doing that may even be quite competent, but they can't make their forces do things that they don't know how to do properly. That makes the most sense to me given that their professional forces have become heavily attrited and largely replaced by hastily trained conscripts.

1. dont destroy your country while trying to destroy a another country
2.dont send your army to die to a country you have no buisness in

My guess is that their experienced personnel were lost in the opening months. Think of all the paratroopers and special forces they lost trying to take Kiev, and all their tank crews that perished in the 1300+ tanks lost.

Part of Zhukov's and Timoshenko's genius was being able to tell Stalin he was wrong and not getting shot.

And that's why they are called "Yes Men"...anything other than yes puts you in a prison camp in Siberia.

Russia is waiting for the next patch to be released. Ukrainian and NATO units might get nerfed.

It's scary when someone who doesn't care for their fellow man and can repeatedly "justify" their actions without consequences can go.

I've literally watched about 30secs of this but it's kind of a twofold answer, 1st yes, Russia has known no other tactics since WW2 but learnt those in WW1. An Army is only as good as and only learns from its last war (or not in most cases i.e. the U.S between the civil war and WW1) but please bear in mind that they have been doing similar (& MUCH worse) in Georgia, Syria etc & where we've said nothing they took that as a green light

The more I watch these kind of videos, the more I get reminded of the famous proverb "Let your enemy think they're winning the war".
American media and content creators are doing that job for Russia.

Well I have heard, that one of the the definitions of insanity, is repeating the same action over and over again and expecting a different result.

Putin really shouldve played bannerlord before invading. That game really has a way of zapping you of toxic confidence in your strategies

1. Lack of supply shortage of ammo/food
2. Lack of training and no unexperienced
3. Outdated weapons
4. The bigger they are harder they fall.
5. Using blitzkrieg tactics does not work.
