First off, they were using the AK-74 prior to the 12. Second, the 47 and 74 are still very good and reliable rifles that would be able to compete against modern rifles just fine. It’s the shooter more than it is the gun.

Aks may be an old platform but calling them “outdated” is just wrong. One of the most reliable automatic rifles ever made period. An ak is never a bad choice for a military.

They weren't using the ak47 or the akm. They weren't even using the 7.62x39 caliber round anymore. They were using the ak74m chambered in 5.45x39. The reason they are dumping the ak12 and going back to the ak74m is because they realized the ak12 is junk. Some special units are still using the ak105, but their rifles are built up with zenitco parts far better than anything on the ak12. If you're going to make these videos, at least know the subject matter!!!
