The thing that helps my morning routine is everything I’m doing the evening/night before. When that’s taken care of, my mornings are so effortless.

Gotta tell you, Amy. This was the first video of yours I've watched. I've been trying to start my mornings "right" for YEARS now. Heck, even my sister has been begging me to do it; she and I shared a room all our lives, she's a morning person and works from home, so it bothered her that she had to start her day with the curtains down and me sleeping till 10 or 11. 😬😳 That was tough. But now I got married and I've suddenly realized how much there is to do and how time F L I E S !!! It's so frustrating to look at the watch and realizing the day is almost over and it consisted only of preparing meals, working my 9 to 5, and sleeping. But THEN YouTube recommended this video and it finally CLICKED for me!! The way you put things, so simply and straightforward, really speaks to me. I've been giving this morning routine a try and I can't believe how much more energy I have and how much productive I can be! THANK YOU! You're awesome <3

I love what you said about how we shouldn't be afraid of habits, AND how we shouldn't let our habits rule us either. I struggle with that balance. Thank you!!

Making a schedule for what I am going to do when I get up is the most important thing for me. Preparing for the morning has become a renewed habit for me as well. If I don’t have to think about what gym clothes and work clothes I need to pack then I’m more likely to get up and go. If I don’t have something specific to do I go back to sleep until I need to get up for work so planning my early mornings ahead of time will help a great deal.

Amy the last tip on not making decisions is something I totally I'm understanding this year than I have ever before. Making things non-negotiable is a whole new mind set I am stoked about. I don't ask myself now if I need to go workout, I just now say to myself "it is now time to go workout!" I am still struggling with the early wake up time, have not tried to put my phone in another room yet. Will start that tonight and hopefully that will make me drag myself out of bed.

Making the bed is actually my favorite chore! It's easy and it makes me feel super comfy to get into a neat bed at nighttime. (And if I want to get cozy before then and the bed is made, I put plenty of blankets on top of it that I can pull out and curl up in.)

Next to making your bed, should be change out of your pajamas and get dressed... Yes, sleepwear! Sleepwear signals your mind that it's getting to be sleepy time and when you change back into your day wear, your mind gets the clue that it's time to get productive. Definitely worth a try! You'll notice a shift the very first morning! ❤🌅🌵

I listen to audiobooks while doing laundry and dishes. As a mom of three I listen to LOTS of audiobooks. 🤣🙌

Personally cannot work with bullet journal. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it, trying to come up with beautiful spreads or anything else. I also have the need to be able to move pages around. Therefore I prefer to create my own templates on various programs (mainly excel) and use a disc bound system. Easier to customize and move pages around. However, I also want to watch an updated Bujo vid! I like seeing yours, even if I cannot personally do them. Happy New Year!

I read nonfiction in the mornings before I get up. Fiction in the evenings to unwind, and a guilty pleasure on the weekends.

This week I've been waking up around 5:30 since I'm constantly like "I don't have time for anything!" especially as a momma of 2 little girls. Then now that I've been waking up early I'm like "well what should I do now?" lol. I've mostly cleaned and went on my phone which is terrible! So this video is an answer to my prayers. I started gulping a water bottle down once you mentioned water. Then when you mentioned the journal giveaway I nearly choked lol! I started a bullet journal last year, but failed. This year I'm determined! Thanks for the motivation xo

I do the same thing Amy. Washing my sheets on Sunday is the best. Nothing like getting into fresh flannel sheets after a shower and the smell of comfy and warm!!!

I would love to see a bullet journal video! It’s also good to see you back on a norm basis. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I lost my little (well 11 months younger than I am) brother the same way 15 years ago. It’s hard, and I’m not gonna give you any advice! It’s just great to see you smile :)

Thank you for being you. I was watching you over the summer, and during the summer I lived with my ex. He knew I watched you and always told me to watch you when I was bored. We broke up on September 15th ( our one year ) 🙁 It was difficult to watch you for awhile because it reminded me of him so much. It still does. BUT I can happily watch you now. I can finally do my thing again without him always running through my mind. So thank you. Thank you for uplifting videos and the motivation to make it through this crazy thing called life.
