I come from New Zealand and if you used that accent in New Zealand I would swear you were a New Zealander. You would fool everyone!

Good grief! I just found out that you are American lol. Your New Zealand accent is better than mine and I am a kiwi.

Wow I am so impressed.  I have never heard any non-Kiwis who could grasp the Kiwi accent that way.  She obviously has a fantastic ear for sounds and the way she could switch between Aussie and Kiwi was equally impressive.

As a New Zealander can I just say how satisfying it was to hear that 'good' - you nailed it!

Thanks for being the first impersonator that did not say we say "fush and chups"

First American I have ever seen do a truly great NZ accent. Its extremely rare for anyone to be able to do a New Zealand accent and i think coming from the American tonality its even harder than say a Brit or Australian. well done. I'm from Auckland so i can tell this is not some cheap parlor trick accent this is a very well crafted precise accent you have built.

I'm Australian so I've heard so many Kiwi accents and can always pick one, and you just do it perfectly. I've never heard anyone do the Australian or Kiwi accents so well. I'm absolutely amazed. You just sound so natural and then you suddenly speak in an American accent and it's crazy!

So good . I am originally from the UK and have been living in New Zealand for 10 years, spending the last 6 as an actor. I have a kiwi speaking audition coming up today and this has really helped. It's hard work, but thanks again Amy for the valuable advice!

Best impression of a New Zealand accent ever! So many people in the States tried to have a go at doing my accent but always ended up sounding like a mashup of Australian and South African...

The fact you have the "I" sound down is amazing, not a lot of non kiwis can get that sound correct they tend to pronounce it like an Aussie which to us sound like an "E"

Congruent with your note about the way Kiwis order in a coffee shop or whatever, I've noticed in my watching of American, New Zealander, Australian, and Canadian cooking shows (Masterchef, mainly) that Kiwis seem to be culturally the nicest people. We say that Canadians have a pathological cultural niceness, but I've not noticed much of a difference in the behavior of ordinary Canadians from the behavior of ordinary Americans on such shows, and even the Australians don't seem that vastly different, but the New Zealanders seem just utterly sweeter, friendlier, and nicer to each other than any of the other English-speaking contestants. Of course I know it's a TV show, and it's dangerous to generalize too much, and so forth, but within the culture of the show and the contest, there's quite a discernible difference.

There are so many different sub-accents within NZ. There's a southland one, a Waikato one, an Auckland/Wellington one, and even a cricket one. The accent Amy shows us here is very much a "New Zealand Broadcaster" accent. It's so good it's quite surreal. The part that really gets me is at 3:57 when she says "ok?". The infliction and everything is absolutely perfect.

omg nailed it. This is the best I've seen a non local do. The accent though is kind of more a West Auckland though. Still, really impressive :)

She hit the mark on our coffee ordering process. New Zealanders certainly take time to stop and smell the roses :)
