Finally someone on youtube that understands the dynamics of recording sound and getting it right. Kudos to you for the lesson and the way it's presented. Yes, someone noticed

I cant tell you how many YouTube videos I have been watching on this subject. You did a nice clear explanation. Now to perfect it. I just started as the guy cutting lawns at a cemetery. Let me tell you that is truly a challenge in a very crowded cemetery. Didnt help that I started the week after Memorial Day and have to contend with a ton of American Flags stuck in the ground. If I can just get this one skill perfected Ill be in good shape. In some cases here there just is no room to do a K turn but now that I know that it is the rear wheel doing the damage hopefully I can at least minimize the divots. Thanks!

Good stuff. I learned this on my own( 30"stander) especially on damp lawns in the mornings. You might not care about your own lawn but try doing a picky customer lawn after they just fired the previous crew. Had to show my boss in his "manly" 60" with tweels ( airless tires) as he tore up big patches on turns. They didn't want him back AT ALL. Customer went and bought a 30" stander to have me cut their lawn and paid well. Make money and LISTEN to the customer.

I just used my brand new Cub Cadet ZT1 machine this week. I have been using a ransomes/bobcat commercial grade walk behind lawnmower for 30 years. It finally died. This ZT1 is insanely fast, smooth and agile. The gearing in these things is a game changer. I'm sure I'm way late to the party, but I'm a believer.

instead of stopping and pivoting on the left or right wheel, slightly reverse it, as you're moving the opposite wheel forward.

I have watched countless videos for the "three point turn" And most of them are good including this one. Here is my problem, everyone explains how to three point turn, but no one explains how to prevent the pivot itself. As in when I come to my stop at the end of a row what do I do with my bars (the action) to keep both wheels spinning. Now I know it may be common sense to some who have lots of experience on a zero turn but I am just starting out on one, and do NOT want to put divot holes in my grass. I have been practicing the back up portion, but not quite understanding the correct handle bar movements to keep both wheels moving, so i dont pivot while making my turn. Thanks to anyone who sees this and helps.

Haha!! Tips to turn more with a "zero" turn mower. Makes sense but we need to rename the mower. Introducing the K turn mowers.. hmm KTMs. Nice little ring to it

One of the demonstrators in a different video of the same zero-turn tractor doesn't recommend driving the thing backward unless you have no other option!
