I'm far from a senior, but thank you for the succinct explanation of the differences between the standard Cinnamon release and the Edge release. Microsoft has forced my hand in fully committing to Linux and I was wondering why my AM5 system was feeling wonky on the 5.15 kernel.

I'm a Dinasor. I've finally migrated to Linux on my old HP Z840 workstation. My laptop that I rarely use runs windows 11. I've been going back and forth for years. No more. 👍🏾🇳🇿

I loaded and updated 21.2 couple weeks ago, everything was fine. On the bottom panel to right is icons for battery, date, time, internet, volume printer and software manager way over to left i mistakenly deleted the program icons that I liked, leaving Mint logo. Now when I am working on the desktop, I sometime temporarily close a program, its gone I can't see the saved program waiting to be reopened. What did I do wrong, how to get the waiting programs to reopen and continue work on them like email back.

Sir, I have a 2023 beelink mini pc running a N100 processor, using Mint Cinnamon 21.3, standard version. It works well, but neither bluetooth nor wifi 6 work. Do you think Edge would be compatible with this set up? The later kernel might solve my problems, but I'm wary to doing a reinstall with Edge at this stage. With thanks.

So essentially when I change my kernel from the 5.15 to the 6.5 I accidentally made my 21.3 an edge version?

Does only Edge now include secure boot is it with all 21.3 Mint versions?

Didn't work well with my older machine I would try it or use it. On the other hand my very advanced AMD PC, it screams on this version. If you need to use VMware Workstation it won't work on it due to the advanced kernel 6.5, so you are stuck with virtualbox. Games play faster as well. So it is a gamble just make sure to back your data, it require a full new install.
