I like him because while he doesn't sugar-coat what might happen, he doesn't try to scare people either.

Great prepper supplies. I would recommend a solar generator with solar panels" at least 500 Watt generator and 100 Watt panels" water filtration...big Berkey, Sawyer micro filters, water tablets...ect. Crank Radio. Farro rod, BIC lighters, waterproof matches, fat wood. Tools: saw, hammer, axe, screwdrivers, nails, screws...ect. Tent if you have to Bugout, sleeping bags ect... Learn to trap and hunt game. Learn Bushcrafting skills..make a shelter, fire, fish, hunt..when SHTF and you gotta leave Dodge, know these skills. Growing up in Northern Canada, I was taught these skills at a young age. I can spend months any season in the wilderness without a problem. I hope some of these tips help out. Stay safe and healthy 🇨🇦👊🇨🇦 God Bless🙏

When you are bartering with precious metals or whatever for product, make sure you meet in a neutral location to barter. When you leave that area, leave in the opposite direction of where you live, then circle back around to your home making sure no one is following you. OpSec is #1

Solid tips and advise remember it's not if but when disaster hits you will be glad you have basic preps and needs as it will take the panic away and regarding firearms you should have 3 one shotgun for home defense 1 handgun to conceal and a 22 rifle for small game or back up to the shotgun. Happy preps!

Please keep up the great content. I especially love the links and tips. I’m just starting this prepping journey, and most of it has to be DIY as I’m doing it on a budget. Your channel by far has been the most helpful.

Good sewing /mending/repair kit.

Avoid cheap premade ones.

Super glue, gorilla tape, sail needle, assorted sewing needles, scraps of fabric for repair, such as denim, t-shirt fabric etc, material scissors - only EVER used for MATERIAL CUTTING ONLY.

Seem ripper. Spare buttons, zips, fastenings etc.

Darning mushroom.

Etc

Don't forget to catch wash water for your garden. Which makes you think about what you use to wash.

Pleasant surprise to see your silver coins came from Canada. 🇨🇦😉

I think the more folks can move to solar or kinetic sources for recharging, the less relevant single-use batteries are.

Knowledge, fitness and skills.

Gardening, cooking/preserving, local heirloom seeds are best, from experienced local gardeners, fire making and tool use skills, mend and make do skills..

All a little off topic for this video, however more comments help to support the channel via yt algorithms.

Remember an old tshirt torn into rags can be used as emergency /washable toilet paper /baby wipes... Colour code and have personalised for each individual householders exclusive use.

If you have a home that sets on a concrete pad or if you have a basement, you could start acquiring 55-gallon water barrels and use an RV water hose for filling those barrels from a faucet inside your home. Just make sure your floor is sturdy enough to handle filled water barrels and that they are located in a place from which they will not be moved because that much water is very heavy. And leave some headspace inside each barrel to allow for expansion if the water freezes during the winter, so your barrels do not split.

If you have a locked garden shed or other outbuilding located well away from your home, you could store some extra bottles of propane for your outdoor grill or for that Mr. Buddy indoor heater. Propane can store a lot longer than other fuels such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel. If you use a shipping container to store fuel or any equipment powered with fuel, made sure there are vents in that container or a spark could turn that container into a bomb.

If you have enough storage space in your garage or an outbuilding, you could fill boxes or buckets with strips of scavenged cardboard, broken up wood pallets and small branches/large twigs from trimming your trees and hedges. These materials make free fuel for your rocket stove or kindling for your wood stove.

Bath bar soap, laundry bar soap, original Dawn dishwashing detergent (safe to use as a body wash or shampoo for people and pets), table salt (for seasoning food, for making a rehydration solution and for making some household cleansers), granulated cane sugar (for quick energy and boosting food calories) and jugs of white vinegar (for making household cleansers) are all essential household items that are good to stockpile and can store for a long time in a cool, dark, dry, vermin-free pantry.

If you are going to store gasoline I'd suggest firstly switching to a diesel car. Youll get way better mpg and diesel is way easier to store. Diesel engines also tend to be way more robust. If you have decking in your garden try to dig a pit underneath it. Then rest whatever fuel you want to store on a crate off the ground but still in the ground. It should stay cold enough

From an archaeological perspective:

Needles are one of the oldest tools found in the archaeological record. In most ancient cultures, men and women had a couple gender-specific tools. Needles are a woman's best friend. In colonial/pioneer days, women had to wait for steel needles to be made in Europe, imported, and delivered by real horses to merchants/traders. Anyway, I just wanted to emphasize that you should possess as many needles of various types, including upholstery needles, for mending/making, suturing, as well as trade.

Sorry. I mean no disrespect to step on toes. But this is just never mentioned. I can't walk past a display of needles without buying a pack. And if they're on clearance, my cart is loaded at checkout!

They take up next to no space in comparison to other PREPPER/survival/trade items.

And why doesn't anyone ever mention WICKS?

Just found you & love what you are doing, thanks!

To add to the silver and gold and cash have small bills and all fractional junk
You don't want to pay 1 oz of silver for a can of gas, when 1/4 oz would buy it.

Good vid but let’s make it clear that a 22 rifle is not ideal for a prepper. Save your money at get something chambered in 223/556 and now you can take game and defend yourself and your loved ones with proper trainings
