I can certify with my own experience that rice is a very complete source of nutrition. You can just hold on to rice many days with no problems. I was a political prisoner of the the Venezuelan dictatorship for more than 4 years. During that time I ate white rice with 0% salt for 20 consecutive days at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rice does work. Thank you for the video.

Also, turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory, Cayenne plays lots of roles, cinnamon can help reduce your relationship with sugar, and of course salt!

What’s sad is a lot of people don’t know how to cook basic foods. They rely on fast food or microwave foods

My father in law literally has a bucket full of soil he throws potatoes in, and they just grow. I'm still finding potatoes in my garden from the last neighbours and it's been over a year. Potatoes are the infinite food glitch 😂

As someone who has had to live off pretty scant funds for extended periods of time, I can attest that if you have enough dried beans, well-stored grains, canned veggies, and dried spices (including bullions), you can live off that for a VERY long time. Food bank pinto bean chili (which is pretty much a few cups of soaked and cooked dried pinto beans, a can of tomatoes or mild salsa, a diced sauteed onion and bell pepper, a ton of TVP, and some Dollar Tree spices) coupled with that box of corn bread made into muffins was pretty much my lunch and dinner every day of my junior year of university. Either a bowl of oatmeal with some dried fruit and roasted nuts or peanut butter on toast for breakfast, and I was eating for about $1-$2/day. Dried beans and rice also store really nicely in glass jars in your pantry (so does flour, so does cornmeal, so do oats, so do nuts & seeds, so do dried fruits, etc.). I got in the habit of using my $20/week grocery budget to get my groceries, my toiletries, food & litter for my cat, and I'd always buy one extra thing not on my list with whatever I had leftover (whether it was a can of tomatoes, or corn, or a bag of beans or box of bullion cubes, or package of pasta). Just one extra thing a week means at the end of the year, you have 52 food items in storage. Getting a side hustle like driving for Lyft or delivering for DoorDash (if you have a car), donating blood plasma for cash if you're able, even answering surveys online for gift cards adds up if you're not counting on that money.

A good solar oven: dry/dehydrate, boil, cook, etc... no wood needed. Good most of the year. Save wood for rainy days.

It's impressive to see how complex and in depth your analysis of what could be considered random thoughts of a crazy doomsday prepper have become over time. Your videos are so well thought out and well designed. Good job man.

This guy is low key funny. " Stock up on tuna yeah I know it's probably chock full of mercury but starvation will probably kill you long before mercury will."

Thanks for the list! I feel like a squirrel making food caches around the house. Got my oils, salt, honey and sugar, vinegar, and other baking/cooking staples.
My next purchase is going to be a camp stove, propane, and adding to my water storage.

Many dried beans can be sprouted indoors in 5-10 days. 2 tablespoons of beans can be grown into 1 to 1.5 lbs of fresh sprouts depending on how long you grow it. And you don't need to order expensive sprouting seeds; the cheap dried beans at the supermarket and an empty plastic bottle will do. Sprouted mung beans, adzuki, lentils, peas and sunflowers are especially easy to grow and quite delicious. Watch a few sprouting videos on YT to get the hang of it.

Rice and beans taste amazing with some spices. My wife used rice, beans, flour and spices to make refried bean burritos.

You can eat the MREs right out of the package. I was in the infantry in the Marines. We always ate our MREs without preparing them.

I like these videos because Nate gives a ton of info without all the extra rambling that some channels include. Totally worth my time to watch this channel, thank you!
