Показать описание
In this exciting piece, the bass takes centre stage, playing many of the main melodic lines. Inspired by the legendary Marcus Miller, this composition showcases how the slap bass technique can be used melodically. While there are some challenges, you'll find this study easier to learn than it sounds. Perfect for beginners eager to enhance their skills and explore new melodic possibilities on the bass.

🎸 What You'll Learn:
• Melodic Slap Lines: In this piece, the bass is the dominant melodic instrument and plays all of the main riffs
• Unison Riffs: It can be a lot of fun playing lines in unison with another instrument. The A section of this piece is played in unison with the guitar
• Using Phrasing Techniques: In addition to hammer-ons and pull-offs, this piece also makes use of slides, bends and vibrato
• Bass Solo: This piece features a bass solo. Although it might sound challenging, you’ll find that there is a lot of repetition in this solo, making it easier to learn than it seems

🎸 Gear Used:
• Bass: GB Guitars Spitfire Bass
• Strings: Rotosound stainless steel (.040, .060, .080, .100)
• Recording: Tech21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI

Nice to hear a top class slap line that's not at 100 miles per hour! Slow often funks harder. Real cool use of double stops and slides ❤

Thanks Stuart, a really cool track! As indicated already in the comments, a slower, synchopated slap groove can often be more impactful. Thanks again !
