Excellent tutorial explained well, with a touch of humour, please continue posting Tim, perhaps very soon your channel will get 2 Billion subscribers, maybe even become the most 'Googled ' on the internet 🙂

Yes.. Awesome content. And perfect for the (new age) Modern day modifier DIY’er.

And owning a R56 MCS, knowing how to do simple tests as you’ve shown on here is a BLESSING!

Thank you all for this .. 😁

You missed an important one: spark plugs. I found this out on another forum. It turns out the OEM spark plugs I thought were genuine turned out to be fakes. In just several months, my car lost power, went into limp mode, and threw this CEL code. It took me awhile to figure it out, but I bought genuine OEM plugs in the store, and my care is back to being good. I've also read that Honda's do not like non OEM plugs. Stick with OEM, and make sure they're genuine.

Hi An ECU that I purchased preprogrammed had that same fault code that you explained and all the info that I researched on it, said that it is an internal fault; the engine light stayed on permanently, but the engine started and ran and I even drove it around without any problems. I returned it and it is now repaired. I would still like to get my other ECU repaired some time to hold as a spare.

I'll try this question here, haven't found an answer yet. I permanently connected my dashcam to the battery for continuous recording. I am no electrics/electronics beginner. With the camera screen turned off, the current drawn in total from the 60 Ah battery is very low, tens of milliamps, maybe less, I can't remember exactly, but I did the math. By my calculations, this means the battery should last at least 2 weeks like this, if not more. I understand that you can't go to 0% charge, as you still need a lot of juice to be left for the engine to start, but I don't understand having the battery die after 2 days with such a low load.

If I leave my car parked for more than a day, dead battery, around 10.something V. I can barely start the engine, sometimes I need to push the car to get it going. Battery voltage is perfect, stays at about 12.9 after a longer drive, starts the engine in a fraction of a second, no issues whatsoever without the dashcam plugged in when parked. Plug in the dashcam, the battery dies like crazy.

Something doesn't add up there for me... and I can't yet understand why this happens. Again, without the dashcam, the battery is just fine. Maybe it shows some lack of charge after a full week of only 5 minute drives, but nothing worse than that, and voltage stays over 12.6 at all times. Without the dashcam connected when parked...

Made up I found your channel, great tips ! I recently sent my Mercedes Viano abs pump to a company to be repaired, they sent it back saying it’s beyond repair. Would you guys be able to rebuild it? Cheers 👍

For a toyota you dont have to send in the new or used ecu for a full rebood or flash. Hotwire the pin #4 and #13 of obd2 and let it sit with ignition switch on position and let it figure everything out for about 30 minutes. Remove the pin used to hotwire the obd2 and go ahead start the car and hope for the best.

1997 powerstroke p0606 . after a long run and good and warm. If the truck is turned off it wont restart. If i disconnect the batteries then reconnect it will start and run fine until turned off again. If it sets overnight it still will not restart until the battery trick .

Hello - I have watched so many of your videos as no one else on Youtube or the net seems to understand a specific issue I have faced for 3 weeks now. P0606 ECM code on a K12 Micra DCI. Any ideas where to start, I checked most of the wires to the ECM but I dnt want to strip all the looms to look for shorts. Do you think a faulty sensor like the crank or cam will trigger the code or its a genuine short somewhere that I must look really hard to find. Trying to narrow the issue down. Greetings from South Africa

Would that be the problem with my 2018 Jeep compass. The dealership won’t help because I went over my mileage and warranty ended. My problem is that when they put the reader it won’t connect and won’t get any reading back. It’s not the batteries already checked that. I need my inspection sticker but can’t because of this.

Hi thx for the vids! I have a P0606 code on my veloster and my obd2 is saying the ECM voltage is 10.2 and does that mean i just need to check for too high resistance in the fuses or the computer?
