Hello, my brother has a 2013 Ford Focus SE also. Did the procedure and did not even have to wait 15 sec. Once we turned on the vehicle and put it into neutral it showed Transmission ready. Thank You it worked great and the vehicle is running just as before.

FYI: Ford extended the warranty on 2012-2016 Ford Focus to cover replacement of Transmission Control Module (TCM) to 10 years or 150, 000 miles. If your transmission is slipping, contact a dealership and they can run a diagnostic on your TCM and if it is faulty they will replace it for free. Just tell them you want to schedule service for the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02.

Thanks for this, it worked. I got the shift fork unstuck with break cleaner and flushed the transmission with wd-40 after drilling two holes. After clearing the code and doing this, the car shifts great.

Thanks a ton, this video really helped, only on my 2013 Ford Focus SE I only needed to turn the key on once and put it in Neutral for 15 seconds to get the “transmission ready” message. Now my car is running perfectly!

Can confirm this worked on my 2014 Ford Focus SE, mine wasn't shifting past the first gear and had a check engine light on, doing this worked and got rid of the engine light too!
