I know this video is over 4yrs ago but you saved me Scotty. After my 2012 Kia Soul 2.0 w/ 120k miles threw codes for crankshaft sensors, camshaft sensors, plugs, wires...I changed them all and the last few months it would start hesitating on exceleration, some days it would be fine. In a last ditch effort I tried this and everything seems to be running correctly. (Just need a little while longer for it to be running lol) Thanks again Scotty

You got my throttle body reset by me resting my computer in your direction. A heroic deed.

Confirming that this video worked in a 2007 Honda Odyssey in 2023. Installed a new battery and couldn't use my power windows. This solved the issue! Thanks Scotty!

OK so now Scotty is officially an expert in my mind. You really have been doing this for a very long time. Credibility just went through the roof.

Young Scotty made this video it looks like 30 years ago

More experienced Scotty posted this video 5 years ago

Today I used the knowledge from this video to fix my problem on my 03 Highlander

I had tried unplugging the battery overnight and it didn't work I didn't realize I should also leave the lights on

Also Scotty's technique for getting the car to quickly relearn itself to run good was also very important information

Watching in 2023 and that reset computer trick is the truth. Had to reset my 2005 Ford Freestyle. Salute Scotty

The climate control lighting in my 2009 Volvo C70 only worked occasionally. After following this video, it seems to be fixed. I tried many Volvo forums and people were doing all kinds of things but this wasn't mentioned once. I'm sure you saved my a lot of time and money. Thank you!

You've been recording videos forever! Thank you so much for helping us better understand our vehicles. God bless. We just need to make sure we aren't being overcharged for not knowing anything!

Scotty thank you for the car computer reset tip!
My Subaru 2010 Forester that has 364530 miles is still running with the same transmission but with 2 engine overhauls and it is almost due for timing belt replacement. I've cleaned my engine bay over this weekend disconnecting the battery and the engine would idle rough when the A/C engages. By resetting the computer according to your tip did the trick, thanks and keep on bringing your funny common knowledge videos!

Scotty, you were the man and still are today. Please give us more old school mixed in with your new stuff. I’m one of those guys that will buy a used vehicle and drive it until it craters. I’m still driving my 94 Cherokee.

This worked for my Scion Xb 2006 with 175k miles. She was idling rough after a plug and coil replacement. Now she is idling much better and feels zippier 👍

He knows his stuff. I only like pre 96 cars and older. 29 yrs of age here. I knew some of this stuff but he knows his stuff in detail, even if its directly from mechanics training manual or something. just good info. works probably on most cars today.

These are awesome. Crazy, you were producing such quality clips even way back then.

As far as I know Scotty is a 1 man team, but if there are others involved, thank you for the work you've done.
