Everyone’s path to nursing is different. For a student with a previous bachelors degree in a non-nursing field, the path can feel uncertain. Here is my story of how I got my RN degree.

This video is incredible- I am so glad I watched this. I have a B.S. in Public Health-- Your video is so professional, so I first assumed you were going to say you ended up doing the Master's or ABSN. I'm relieved that people are sharing their positive experiences taking this route. I don't want to go further into debt, but I really want to become a nurse! This is a great path to transition & for people who may not be able to dedicate what a ABSN or MSN requires. Also I'm so happy that it didn't take 2 years 🥹 That was my main worry with ADN route, so I hope I can complete it much sooner!

I love your story! I love the clarity and simplicity with which you relayed it to us. I have not heard this trajectory before where someone with a non-nursing bachelor's degree decided to pursue an ADN as opposed to a BSN or Entry-Level MSN. I think that was a smart decision, especially in terms of keeping school loans debt at a minimum. Congratulations on your achievements! Wishing you continued success in your future endeavors!🙏🏾

Hi Wendaline, I am in your situation at the moment. I graduated with a BS degree in IT, and now i want to transition my career into nursing, and it's very inspiring to hear your journey, and so can I reach out to you somehow to get more in details of what I should do? Thank you so much for reading.

I had a bachelor in education and a Master of Arts from my country. I can to the US to study nursing. So I started with ADN and it was the hardest thing I ever studied. It’s even harder than my thesis for my master level. Now I’m an RN with and ADN and will be finishing my MSN within 6 months. I can’t wait to get it done!

I am about to graduate with a bachelor's in microbiology and want to change to nursing. I've been given the three routes like you've mentioned, but I also worry about my GPA for accelerated programs. I am recently married but know that going for nursing after graduation is the best time. I know in the future I'll want kids, but by then, it'll be more difficult to go to school. I also have to move if I do decide to do any of the accelerated programs. I looked into online accelerated programs, and they are expensive. Moving would mean figuring out a place to live, how to pay bills, etc. A lot of it would be on my husband. I feel like after thinking about it for a while, I think my best route to take would also be going for a RN program since it's available near me. I felt like I was the only one going through this. Thank you so much for this video! ❤️

Hey Wendy, I have a Diploma in Business, Bachelors in IT, Masters in Project Management and CNA. I’m currently in my 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing while working two jobs as a CNA and in real estate lol. I’m very passionate about both.

Your story is definitely inspiring! I have a Bachelor's in Business and would love to get a nursing degree. I currently work for a hospital doing medical coding and a nursing degree would help this too. I love my job but am looking for more. I work at a large hospital in Mass and would love to do nursing as a second job and as I get even older, I can do it part time. I would love to work in the OR also. Any help I can get would be great

I'm so lost. I have a BS in Finance and Business Management with minor in Theater. I hate my career. I feel so drawn to the world of health care. I have 2 kids and with mediocre money. I was told that some A-BSN schools/program still recquire you to take chemistry all over again (when I had a passing grade of C+ lol) and I'm dreading it.
