$285 is actually not that bad for the amount of food, usually restaurants here in America are wayyyy overpriced

Almost any dish in one of these restaurants has a description that amounts to "alright, I'll trust you, " but a bone marrow doughnut sounds SO GOOD.

Pro tip don't ever expect to be served anything from a 2 or 3 Michelin star restaurant that you see online unless its a staple

Gosh I love fancy food so much. Guilty pleasure and I’m gonna stand by that. One more reason to work hard on being financially stable because food as a hobby and indulgence is expensive

Thank you for this video, I just like looking at these dishes.
As someone with food allergies I don't dare try eating things, but I enjoy looking at how beautiful they are.

I do wonder if there are Michelin Star places that aren't very tiny portions and would really like to see that in a video.

I'm gonna cite Hall's Chop House in North Charleston, SC. Best steak of my life, and they also have foie gras, A5 wagyu, shrimp, bison steak, mushroom risotto, etc. Service was great, too

I like that these restaurants are getting out of their way to promote themselves through influencers

I know they didnt make broth from enoki alone. You would need alot, low low heat to not destroy the flavor, and still reduce it. That would take someone a good 3 days. Ive done it. My favorite mushroom besides morel.

I have to say, I was expecting more than 285 per person. I recently went to Addison in San Diego for dinner and needless to say, both me and my wallet left dissatisfied. Rather than some ode to Californian cuisine as the chef paraded on his website, what I basically saw was a high-end Japanese restaurant with very safe dishes (albeit a few outstanding ones, I will admit), plus an actively hostile squab pigeon main course and hazelnut/chocolate torte desert. The squab itself was slightly tough and the leg was coated in coffee powder which left a bitter aftertaste, and the torte which was utterly delicious in of itself was paired with a searingly sour passion fruit caramel sauce that threw the plate completely out of balance. However, at this price point, everything needed to be outstanding, and the utterly heavenly caviar and the utterly heavenly chawanmushi courses weren’t enough to make up for the duds. The tasting menu was 355 per person, but to add injury to insult, the wine markups were some of the worst I’ve ever seen, with some bottles being nearly four times their retail price!!! Oh, and don’t even ask me what the prices were for the glass of champagne off the cart they wheel towards you to start the meal. It will hurt you. This restaurant, however, looks like it serves some truly inventive food where the chef uses luxury ingredients not just as a standard but to push the boundaries. The experience just looks like it’s more worth the price, and 285 dollars is certainly a bit better than 355. I hope they don’t gouge people on wine😂

Molecular Gastronomy is neat... but you should never charge this much for it.

Looks great, would be nice experience after you devour actual human size dinner. Otherwise, i would be too hungry to really enjoy these couple of bites.

Just speaking for myself here, but I never understood the need to eat "art" good food, decently plated is good 'nuff.
